Fabio Giannetti is currently associate professor at "Sapienza" University of Rome and is a lecturer of Nuclear Safety and Emergency Systems and Nuclear Technology Design. 

He has a MSc degree in Energy and Nuclear Engineering (2010) and got a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering (2014).

His research activity is focused on two-phase thermal-hydraulic transient analysis, multiphysics simulations and safety systems design and analysis for innovative reactors. He is a member of Italian Nuclear Association (AIN) and scientific advisor of the AIN advisory board, and member of the UIT (Italian Union of Thermal-Hydraulics).

He acquired capability mainly in the nuclear safety aspects and in particular best-estimate transient calculations, to enhance the safety performances and new system/component design for nuclear reactors (GEN III, GEN IV and fusion). He is author or coauthor of about 90 scientific publications in international Journals and more than 50 technical reports.
