Christos Malavazos holds a Dipl -ing. Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from NTUA (National Technical University of Athens). He spent his early career years as a software engineer at ICCS/NTUA and a researcher at ILSP (Institute for Language and Speech processing, member of ATHENA research group), working on semantic technology applications and authoring several international scientific publications. He served as the head of IT at TREK Development group and later as member of the company board and unit director at Hypertech Energy Labs, leading large-scale projects at the intersection of IoT and Smart Grids. He founded Grindrop (UK), delivering cutting-edge and human-centric automated building management services for homes & offices. Since 2018 he has acted as a contracted expert for the EU Commission. He is currently an independent consultant and a business partner with QUE Technologies, designing AI-enabled digital twin solutions for the future energy systems.
