Christopher has worked in the global energy markets for over 23 years with a focus on power sector fundamentals, infrastructure and regulation. He has authored numerous analytical reports and led strategic consultancy on global energy issues encompassing critical issues such as security of supply, energy transition, technological and infrastructural impediments, market and price design.
He spent 10 years at IHS Markit (formerly IHS CERA, now S&P Global) heading power research for the company's integrated Russian and Caspian Energy Service, as well as senior director and thought leader in IHS Markit's Global Power and Renewables service. Amongst his achievements at IHS Markit, was being awarded State medal for professional contribution to the strategic development of Kazakhstan's power and utilities' sector and commitment to energy transition.
Before joining IHS Markit, Christopher founded SEEPX Energy where he advised on power sector strategy for international companies in the UK, Europe, Balkans, Russia, Central Asia and Pakistan.
He began his energy career in power trading, negotiating multi-million pound power contracts between energy companies. During this time, he also advised and managed a major client's trading portfolio during the Enron collapse.
He completed his formal education in Her Majesty's Armed Forces, where he served for eight years and achieved Best Recruit.
