Alison Ireland heads up Utonomy Ltd’s international liaison, leading the digitalisation conversation with gas DSOs in every European country and working strategically to advance the repurposing of the gas grid as a key, decarbonised feature of the energy transition.

She has over two decades of experience in the global water and energy sectors, and a track record of transforming ideas into purposeful reality.

Prior to joining Utonomy, Alison worked as a consultant with a wealth of innovative companies in the energy and water space, in particular helping those with ambitious and transformational plans for growth to realise these aims.

Since 2020 she has worked academically on green hydrogen development; she was co-organising partner for the WEX Water & Energy conference for several years, and has run an international art agency, providing large-scale art installations for developments around the world.
