Renewables and Energy Storage:
Powering the energy transition

Renewables are experiencing massive investments, with 2022 seeing a 19% growth from 2021 investment levels and 50% from 2019, according to a recent report from IRENA and Climate Policy Initiative. However, more still is needed to meet a 1.5°C goal by 2050.

If we want to rely overwhelmingly on renewables, accelerating adoption and powering the energy transition with storage is a must. At Enlit Europe, together with our partners and renowned associations, such as IRENA, Geode, Eurelectric, E.DSO and many more, we discuss how we can accelerate, scale and increase collaboration around renewables to power the future of energy in Europe. Addressing all forms of clean generation, including wind, solar, hydro, with a special focus on the Energy Storage Pavilion.

Hydrogen Zone

How do we start the hydrogen domino effect?

With a $300 billion proposed investment in global hydrogen projects and governments around the world recognising the potential benefits and developing policies to help drive adoption, momentum around Hydrogen initiatives is increasing.

After its official launch in 2021, in partnership with Hydrogen Europe, the Hydrogen Zone continues to expand.

Energy Storage Zone

Storage is at the heart of the Energy Transition

If we want to rely overwhelmingly on wind and solar power for electricity, powering the energy transition with better storage is a must. Let’s evaluate the role and value of long-duration energy storage technologies in securing a carbon-free electric grid at Enlit Europe.

The Energy Storage Zone in Paris, organised in collaboration with the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE), focused on how energy storage enables the future of energy.
