Mitigating energy risks in Europe
In an exclusive interview at the Enlit Studio, Martin Vladimirov, Director, Energy and Climate Program, Center for the Study of Democracy, explained that in the past nine months an energy security divide has been growing between grand European objectives of the Green Deal and national priorities, which have become increasingly centered on the preservation of the member state’s own interests.
‘Putin’s missile barrage on Ukraine’s grid is message to Europe’ – DTEK
Last week’s attacks on Ukrainian grid infrastructure by Russia – causing a widespread blackout in parts of the country – are a “message to Europe”, according to Vadym Utkin, Energy Storage Lead for DTEK, the largest private investor in Ukraine’s energy industry. Utkin made the statement as he delivered a special opening keynote address.
